Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making massive paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really happening.
