This incident resulted in the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt during the incident. Five people went to hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.

Police detained a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - caused train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
